Dr Marcel Ghoukassian completed a general year of science at Melbourne University followed by 5 years full time study in osteopathic medicine. During this time he attained a Masters degree for research in the assessment of spinal dysfunction. He is a member of the Australian Osteopathic Association and of Sports Medicine Australia. Through his youth he has participated in a wide variety of sports including basketball, tennis, football, baseball, hockey, athletics, surfing, skiing and golf; and at great expense to his parents developed a vast first hand knowledge of sporting injuries!
Over the years he has continued to develop a special interest in the treatment and management of both acute and chronic injuries especially of the neck, back, shoulder and arm. In particular a love of golf and tennis has exposed him to some of the many injury pitfalls associated with these sporting pursuits ... handicap included!
Marcel is continually updating his education with further training in all fields of health care and has treated a wide variety of patients, from office workers to labourers, and from elite athletes to weekend warriors! Over the past year he has worked trackside with a number of V8 Supercar drivers, treating them and their pit crew to ensure maximum performance on race day.

B.App.Sc(Ost) M.Ost M.A.O.ADr Maria Carey is an osteopath who has recently returned to Victoria after working for a number of years in Fremantle and West Perth. She completed her Osteopathic Studies in Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy) and Masters of Osteopathy. She is a member of the Australian Osteopathic Association. Whilst in WA she pursued advanced studies in Paediatrics and gained extensive experience with the Busselton Children’s Clinic, treating babies and children with behavioural disorders, disabilities and illness.
Through an athletics career spanning more than fifteen years, Maria developed a broad range of skills in injury prevention, rehabilitation and management. She continues to participate in athletics, with Melbourne University Athletics Club. In her competitive years, she captained Melbourne University Athletics Team and later coached Sydney University Athletics Team.
Previous to her career in Osteopathy, Maria worked for nine years as a Secondary School Teacher and has a Bachelor of Arts in English and Anthropology and a Graduate Diploma of Education.

Dr Catherine Curtain studied for five years at Victoria University, completing her Bachelor and Masters degrees, where she investigated patient’s experiences in osteopathic clinics. Since graduating Catherine has continued her learning with seminars and courses, including a course in dry needling. Catherine is an active member of the Australian Osteopathic Association.
Catherine has always been active, dancing from the age of 3 and participating in sports such as basketball and long distance running, but also enjoys relaxing and regularly attends yoga classes.
Although she enjoys treating a variety of conditions, her special interest is in treatment of headaches, acute and chronic low back conditions and pregnancy related pain.

Dip.Remedial Massage M.A.A.M.TAfter returning from an overseas working holiday Sally decided that she wanted to help people realise their health potential, both physically and mentally. Her understanding of the daily pressures, both physical and emotional, that we all experience, and the subsequent negative effects this can cause, led her to massage. Sally excelled through her Diploma of Remedial Massage, completed at the Australia College of Massage, due to her focus and commitment to understanding the function of the musculoskeletal system and its importance in the onset of many common joint and muscle injuries. She has discovered through her studies and subsequent experience that massage is a modality that proves invaluable as a therapeutic intervention for relieving the physical manifestations of muscular strain.
Sally brings to head to toe healthcare a knowledge on a range of different problems such as neck, shoulder and back pain, joint and muscle pain, sports and occupational injuries and relaxation massage to name a few. Sally believes that massage should play an important part in the life of all people as it can provide relief from a range of aches and pains, assist in calming the nervous system, decrease stress, improve the blood supply within the soft tissues, but most importantly used for injury prevention. Sally is a current member of the Australia Association of Massage Therapist.

Ad.Dip.Myotherapy M.A.A.M.THaving developed a love of sport early in his schooling life, Luke developed his passion academically by focusing his studies on the human body and in particular its role in sport. Luke completed an Advanced Diploma of Remedial Massage (Myotherapy) at RMIT University which has allowed him to embrace both his love of sport with his keen interest in the human body.
Throughout Luke’s university studies he gained valuable and rewarding experience treating athletes at all levels, including players with the Box Hill Hawks Football Club and elite swimmers that performed in the 2006 FINA World Swimming Championships. Luke continues to have involvement in the sporting community with his ongoing participation with the high profile AFL football Club, St Kilda.
Since qualifying as a Myotherapist Luke has taken a particular interest in posture and how it can influence and affect a person’s health and well being. Luke has an excellent understanding of lower back and neck pain and he is keen to assist individuals in achieving their goal of becoming healthier and happier.

Myotherapist, B.H.Sc.Myotherapy M.I.R.M.AMelissa has completed a 4 year degree in Myotherapy at Southern School of Natural Therapies and is a member of the Institute of Registered Myotherapists of Australia.
Throughout her studies she worked alongside various health professionals and was also involved with several sporting clubs. This exposure has given her the skills to treat a wide variety of people. She incorporates a range of different modalities into her treatments including soft tissue treatment, dry needling, cupping, electro-stimulation, heat and ice therapy and corrective exercises.
She focuses on treating the cause of the problem, not just the symptoms, and is knowledgeable in treating a wide variety of problems including headaches, postural related pain, neck and back pain, shoulder pain and sporting injuries. Melissa gains enormous satisfaction from being able to help people with their pain and improve their quality of life.

Jade has been working in women’s health since 2002 when she was appointed Senior Clinician Women’s Health Physiotherapist at Monash Medical Centre. Since this time Jade has held a number of positions in public and private practice including Cabrini Hospital.
Jade maintains a commitment to professional development, quality assurance and patient centred care. Her practice involves specific clinical intervention with timely transition into self-management using yoga and pilates methods - also provided at Head to Toe Healthcare.

Physiotherapist, B.App.Sc.(Physio) M.A.P.ASince graduating from Lincoln Institute in 1983 Harold has spent his professional life in private practice. His major interests are the treatment of sports injuries, orthopaedic rehabilitation and Occupational Health.
For 15 years through June 2008 Harold was a principal in a Physiotherapy practice located with The Waverley Orthopaedic Group. The management of patient’s pre and post surgery, sports injuries and traditional sore backs and necks were the main areas treated at the clinic. Emphasis was put on hands on treatment and home exercise routines.
During the 1980s Harold was one of the Physiotherapists at Carlton Football Club (AFL). He also spent 15 years as a Physiotherapist with the Victorian Amateur Football Association.
In recent years Harold has become involved with Occupational Health through on site treatment, training and assessment programs.

BSc. (Monash), BFA (VCA), Certificate IV in Pilates Instruction (NPTC), Certificate IV in FitnessTracey Middleton worked as a medical scientist for 14 years before undertaking the Certificate IV in Pilates Instruction. She has worked in a number of pilates studios around Melbourne instructing a range of clientele - from rehabilitation to those that wish to complete specific fitness goals. She particularly enjoys observing the progression her clients make when using the pilates method (both in the studio and in everyday life).
Tracey came to pilates after a persistent back problem and has been practicing for 8 years. She is a member of Pilates Alliance Australasia, attends pilates workshops on a regular basis and is currently studying the Diploma of Professional Pilates Practice (PITC). When not practicing pilates, Tracey enjoys staying fit, travelling, gardening and the company of her husband and 2 cats.

She has completed both undergraduate and post-graduate degrees in psychology and is a member of the College of Educational and Developmental Psychologists (Australian Psychological Society). Sara has extensive experience working with children, adolescents and adults across a range of emotional difficulties, including anxiety, phobias, depression, self-esteem, stress management, learning and behavioural difficulties. Sara has a special interest in eating disorders. She has worked both in the United Kingdom and locally in Melbourne with individuals, groups and families in the management of eating disorder symptoms, and has developed and managed specialist eating disorder day programs.
Sara offers a range of therapeutic interventions that are holistic, sensitive and designed to meet the unique needs of each individual. With her focus on wellness and personal empowerment, Sara strives to create a collaborative client-therapist relationship that assists individuals to gain a deeper understanding of their concerns and learn strategies that will enable them to make beneficial life changes leading towards positive growth.

Audrey trained in the Satyananda Yoga Tradition in New Delhi, India, in 1982 and completed a Diploma of Teaching Hatha Yoga in 1993 at Gita International, Melbourne, Australia. She now works with a synthesis of Hatha, Iyengar, Satyananda and Gita Yoga to promote physical vitality, emotional balance and mental harmony. Her Saturday sessions incorporate the practise of breathing techniques (Pranayama), physical postures (Asanas) and relaxation (Yoga Nidra). She truly believes that Yoga is for people of all ages from different walks of life with varied levels of fitness and flexibility. She promotes consistent and committed practise to enable the individual to attain a physical, mental and emotional balance and harmony - “The oneness with the inner being ".
